'Pushing the limits' is a book I read quiet a while back and has a huge influence on our films story line. It is a Young Adult fiction and this has also helped us with tell us who our audience is, as it is based at teenagers and above.
'No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.'
The novel is about a girl named Echo who suffers from amnesia due to a very traumatic event and wakes up with night terrors and has flash backs of the night, but she cant remember the event fully. This influenced out story line as ours is about a girl who cant remember a traumatic event and has flashbacks of the event but cant form the whole picture in her mind, and wants to regain her memory and discover the truth about what happened.
